Mindy recently took a little time to have some fun with fellow Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP) participants at a “casino night” the program’s organizers threw on April 19.
While HEMP is a business mentoring program, the participants are usually hard at work and don’t often just get to mingle and network in a fun environment with spouses included.
Here Mindy and HEMP’s founder, Barnett Helzberg, Jr., mug for the camera in some of the silly props provided.
HEMP is a formal, three-year mentoring program available by application only. Up to 20 mentees per year are accepted and each is carefully matched with a mentor to foster a learning environment. Mindy is a member of the 2011 class of 12 mentees.
HEMP was founded in 1995 by Barnett Helzberg, Jr., former owner and President of Helzberg Diamonds, and was inspired by his 23-year mentoring relationship with Ewing Kauffman.
